I ordered 2 pairs of shoes since Bodyline is sometimes friendly towards larger footed lolitas. I've ordered from them before, and the shoes always came in boxes.
But this time....

( A BAG ?!??! )

I'm afraid there is not much to tell so far. Some people have asked if there are any leads and such but regrettably there has been no word. I do still truly want to thank you all for you concern. I managed to make a new piece as a replacement and get it to the museum on time for opening. The Oxford Steampunk Exhibit has been incredibly successful and I hope all of you get a chance to see it.

I put together a logo, which I am going to turn into an appliqué to put onto the back of a pair of coveralls. I think I have the Latin text right, but was wondering if anyone could double check for me.
Thanks in advance!

Hello All,
This isn't quite steampunk era, but it is a vintage fashion question, and I figured this was the place to ask advice. My friend has requested I make him a 1910-ish style bathing suit along these lines (man on left):

Or for other inspiration, the bathing suit Johnny Depp wears in Sweeney Todd. I'm wondering if anyone might know where I could find a pattern for such a suit? It shouldn't be too hard to make, but I'm an intermediate seamstress, so I like to follow a pattern. He wanted it to be a usable suit, but I've been having a world of trouble finding striped bathing suit material or even a cotton of this stripe. Any suggestions?

Mods, please delete if this is inappropriate.
I wanted to post this here b/c it's actually hit my aunt and my housemate. My housemate had $1800 stolen from her bank accounts. I suggest that you keep a close eye on your accounts, as the news report states that other incidents are popping up around the country.

Hi, I'm new to EGL community and has just very recently interested in lolita/gothic clothes. I just received my order from Bodyline consisting of 2 sets of clothes and accessories...
... and I LOVE it to BITS! XD I know Bodyline isn't an upper-class brand and I heard issues regarding their ethics and policies, but luckily my order is VERY satisfying! XD This is probably the best birthday I've ever had! XD
I'm planning on dressing for AFA 2009 (anyone going?) so any tips on make-up and/or other tips are very much appreciated!
Though the most important question for all of you going to AFA 2009 is... do they provide changing room? n_n; I don't feel like wearing the clothes in MRTs and buses... >.<
In anyway, nice to meet you all!

Hi ladies,
I'm planning on screenprinting a design onto a skirt, but it seems like there's something missing. I would really appreciate some suggestions for how to make it better! I would also appreciate feedback if the design works on a skirt. Yes/no? would it look better on a bag? Thanks in advance!

The fashion show Producer was Berit of http://www.beritnewyork.com/ who organized the designers ,models and performers for the fashion show, all after just having had her wisdom teeth pulled and not being able to take pain melds for it.
Your MC was the one and only G. D. Falksen http://www.gdfalksen.com who writes stuff of wonder like this that you must read.
After a number of months there are now good photos up! and I hope at some time one of the 6 people I saw shooting video of this show eventually posts the whole thing to Youtube . Many people would love to see it and I got tossed in the to the show last moment and did not get to see it.
So on to the thing you care about the Eye candy.

Hi there! I just joined, hoping someone in this community might be able to help me out. I'm directing a musical in San Francisco, and my vision for the production is that it takes place in a steampunk-esque world - it's a fantasy adventure story about a troupe of traveling actors in a time of war - the given time period on the script is "five years after 'Once Upon A Time'", so it's like this blending of a fairy tale world into industry.
That all said, I am in search of a costume designer for this project - it's a paid job, with a materials budget. Experiencing doing costuming for theatre is a plus, but what I'm really looking for is someone who can use creativity, ingenuity, and resourcefulness to bring this world to life through the costumes.
If I've piqued anyone's interested, feel free to e-mail me at reynaldilolong@gmail.com or comment here with your e-mail. Feel free to pass this along to anyone you know who might be interested as well... thank you!
